After Andybavs purchase I’d get all the work checked out to make sure it’s been carried out to a satisfactory standard , I can do that for you as I found the faults on inspection, I know he didn’t get what he thought was a good job.

Cant comment from personal knowledge but have read some not very favourable comments on another forum so might be worth keeping a close eye.....

I had some work done at BW after buying my boat in 2014.
It wasn't cheap. Otherwise no complaints.

Having the first service, since purchase, this week....

We shipped her to Spain so their "UK only" warranty was no good to us, but to be fair we put some hours on her soon after delivery, and no apparent issues, but as i said, we'll see what the first, Spanish, service by a VP main dealer brings.

That all said, there is a trim issue gremlin where we have recalibrated a few times, and had a new sensor fitted, but we'll never know if that was a problem we bought, or has developed.

All the best with the purchase..

The S28 was a stock boat from Burton Waters.
It was pretty new, and only used on Windermere, so not much needed fixing.
When an engine issue did pop up (duff sensor) it was sorted out quickly.

The SC35 was a brokerage boat, so aftersales = “Good Luck” plus a couple of follow up phone calls asking if all was good.

Hi Jimmy well if you are not confident in their promises I still have only paid the deposit so I would expect the jobs to be done before the full fee is paid ,roy

Hi Roy , you informed me both engines had a service , do you want me to list the service items not dealt with I found on the inspection ?

Hi Paul we have already agreed to the snagging list .e fuel cooler anodes filters but not plastic ends or belt tensioner cheers roy

I bought my current boat from Button Waters @ Ipswich.

There were a few issues highlighted on the survey and all the important ones were addressed before purchase. One big one was the exhaust hoses needed replacement, which entailed removing both fuel tanks to gain access. Along with the other less serious items, the survey more than paid for itself!

I would be happy to buy from Button Waters again.

Reassuring for the OP to hear some positive comments from people who have experience of buying from them :)

We've just bought our 2nd boat from BW Lincoln. We've always found them a pleasure to deal with hence the latest purchase.
