I can’t help thinking it might have been better to contact him first before ‘naming and shaming’. At least give the guy a chance to put things right before dobbing him in!

A good point Fred, however, I have just been through a phase of buying things and dealing with people who are either a/ fantastic, above average, quality product, delivered on time etc and b/ the opposite. Fortunately the majority seem to be in the first category.
When I opened the package, my heart sank. The disappointment was so much that I thought "sod it, I am fed up with being sold pups". Life is too short I know, but busy preparing for an adventure and I could do without second rate stuff being shoved through my letterbox in exchange for my hard earned cash.

Fair enough. Give us a mini review of it after your trip. I’ve got one of the hook and moor jobs. Plastic doesn’t inspire confidence but it seems to be lasting well.

I gave up watching Prima Donna's kicking a ball around many years ago ...
Must admit - had a smile today watching the top three grid places go to 3 brits for the Brit F1 ... GR on Pole, LH 2nd, LN 3rd.
