You near Swansea then Banus? My office is there again overlooking the marina. Just as well I like boats, as I am around them 24 hours a day!!

Fantastic - perseverance achieves all. Sounds like a very well deserved success. Keep pluggin' away, no fireworks, is a good MO to promote.

<font color=blue> Absolutely wonderful and my sincere heartiest congratulations.
Mind you to your own foresight you must add credit to the Planning Department of your Council for allowing you to do it.

Actually the credit should go to CN Marinas

the management at Crest Nicholson who realised that they had a piece of unloved water that could be turned into something useful and profitable and they resolved the various planning issues with the LA.

I hear many criticisms of marina operators here, my experience is only limited to Crest Nicholosn and I have to say I think they are a good bunch of people and very approachable. And I also see John Watson of MDL posting here abouts clearly fully prepared to stick his head above the parapet.

I think in general you get out of a realtionship be it business or otherwise what you put in and we all must remember that this is a business to consumer relationship we all have with marina operators. Ultimately they are driven by profit, and we are driven by service for lowest cost.

Remember boating without marinas and companies prepared to invest in them would be pretty dull not to mention muddy.

Very well done, wakeup. I'm confused though why it was'nt Crest Nicholson who approached you to install pontoons outside your houses rather than the other way round. Surely, they're paying to lease a stretch of water on which they were not previously earning income?

To be fair they apprently did..

approach the builders before the houses were built but the builders just didn't get it and didn't understand why anyone buying a house next to water would want a pontoon!!!! Go figure, but it didn't even get to the drawing board with the builders, se we approached CN and found them to be interested.
