Agree with most .... but source doesn`t actually make much difference as the days of different diesels is `hazy` to say the least ......... a lot of diesel is now Russian origin as well as traditional supplies. It is sold onto all the oil co`s that you know of in vast quantities and then split up into distribution parcels.
The only time a source would be a factor is when the stock stands idle for serious length of time and is not kept well.... old farm tanks etc. are a good example, but then again a lot will be free of serious bug question !!!!
It really is a subject that can be difficult ..... one boat keeps tank clean, fresh fuel regularly and has black sludge accumulated in bottom ... dead bugs, another boat like mine ..... never cleans tank, only regular fill-ups when tank is low, no dosing etc. and I am not aware of any problem ......... silly but true !
