My Autoprop is being fitted as I type. I'd just like to say what a nice lot of people they are to business with. Discount at the boatshow, that got further discounted when they recommended a smaller prop, courteous and prompt answering of phone for pre and post sales queries and delivery on time.

A good standard to set to other parts of the marine industry.

Well done.

I would second that, Chris; my experience exactly.
Also, it's a good piece of kit!!

Agree! Even though the prop was on the boat when I got her, I've contacted them several times for spares and advice. Prompt and efficient service. Each prop has a serial number stamped on it, so even though my prop is now 14 years old they were able to look it up to make sure I got the right bits!

If you've never had one before, a word of caution. When approaching your marina berth for the first time and go astern to check your progress, you will need extra revs to what you've been used to in order to "set" the blades and allow them to bite. Once you're used to it, you'll find you have far more stopping power than you ever did before!

Cheers,

Jerry

Thanks for tip, I've heard from others that the bite is sufficient to unseat an unsuspecting foredeck crew. Can't wait to play with it next weekend!

I came close to reversing my boat out of the lock the first time I brought her in, so don't give it too much wellie astern when stopping.

They can get a bit rattly as play increases in the blades, but are very easy to adjust during fit-out.
