Following our trip to Brugge last September some forumittes said that they would like to make the trip.

Thread of my visit report
http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248511

Some of those forumittes have indicated that they would like to do this instead of the Oostend weekend.

I have been in contact with the club and they would be happy to accommodate us that weekend.

An out line schedule would be to get to Zeebrugge during Friday 27th May 2011 and then go up the canal on the Saturday Morning to stay at the club overnight and then head back to Zeebrugge on the Sunday afternoon/evening and back to the UK on the Monday.
There are a couple of marinas in Zeebrugge that we could stop in overnight.

The long link below should take you to a translation of a club page about getting to them via Zeebrugge

On a Saturday evening meal in their new clubhouse the club have said:-
"We could also arrange a meal for your members depending on what you would like to eat.
The cooking would be provide by one of our members.
BBQ is also a option.
The only problem could be the weather. In case you could not attempt Bruges we have a catering problem.
We do not cook on a daily base. This means that we have to do the catering specially for you & that the cost of that would to b€e paid by your club either you arrive or not."

There would also be the possibility of trying to find a restaurant in the town or buying the stuff and doing a BBQ ourselves.

To be fair to the club we would need to give them a fair indication of numbers that can be expected reasonably soon.
Their marina is very small and they may have to move some of there members boats about to accommodate us.

Please indicate in the next post if you would like to come and your preference on catering on the Saturday evening.

Clive I would be very interested in the trip. We flew passed Zeebrugge two summers ago returning to Blankenburge from Middelburg. Would be good to get to Brugge.
But...
I am unlikely to make the fri departure and earliest would be a Sat departure for me an my crew. I have the week but aware this is planned to be a couple of days and return. Are all boats on this timescale as it is always good to have some company out there?
Do we require CEVNI to get to Brugge?

Ben

There is no fixed time table.
The plan is to be at the club Saturday evening for a BBQ.

You can lock in at Zeebrugge at any time by calling ahead.
The Club a Brugge will always welcome visitors.

I don't think you need CEVNI to get to Brugge but you may need it if you want to go though the lock at Brugge and into the main canal system.
There would also be a fee to pay and you mast would need to come down.

OK - thanks.
I think I meant to the club rendezvous as opposed to actual Brugge. No intention of stepping mast at this point in the season.
Not sure if you remember but we had the evo 25 Mbizi?
I shall be hot footing it from school on Fri eve to boat. Any ideas of times for departure fri ?

I had planned to leave Shotley late Thursday night to get into and meet up in Zeebrugge on Friday and leave Zeebrugge Monday morning with Brugge inbetween to get back to Shotley Tuesday morning.
