Hi Mike,
We're in Sunny parts this week but will be back in time to possibly catch up with you at Swanwick.

This is what drifted in to the bay this evening.
I think it's a tridec Azimuth about 150 feet.

Roger.

Aiming to get down on Saturday. (Well, you never know. It might be love at first sight for J on the S72 )
I assume closet mobo ers are allowed.

Was hoping to get there on the Friday, but I now have to put in an appearance at work for an E A inspection.
Back in S C on the 28 th.

We are hoping to be there Saturday / Sunday subject to getting a berth at Swanwick Sat night. They are a bit silent in the communications department at the moment so fingers crossed.

I'm looking forward to it. Sadly captain Antibes hasn't ordered a new boat this year so we won't have any chance of a superb - and it really was superb, soirée his year. A gaping hole left wide open for Princess Sunseeker or Fairline but as of yet if there is something happening we haven't been invited. In fact technically we haven't actually been invited to the show this year but I'm sure it was just a case of being out when the winged unicorn arrived bearing our formal invite and gilded tickets.

It was good to see so many faces there last year and also to have a really good look around some boats which ordinarily are rather crowded at the big 2 shows. London doesn't really work for us as we are usually away over Christmas and the New Year but Swanwick punches well above it's weight to compensate.

I will do my utmost to sample what hospitality there is purely on the grounds of wanting to report back to you gentle folk. As you well know I'm not a great lover of miniature roast beef and Yorkshire puddings but I shall soldier on. Failing that we will have to break open the Pot Noodles and baked beans on board along with what's left of the unbranded champagne we won last year from Princess. What's that you say? Fix. How very dare you. Uncle Roger and his team sought advice from Camelot as to the most secure way of drawing a winner from the literally tens of entries they received :)

Fingers crossed Swanwick deliver on the berth and we will see everyone over the course of the weekend.

Henry :)

Yes will be there all weekend and staying on the boat (fortunately on C pontoon) so we have a front row seat!

Weather looks good, so it's shaping up for great event again.

Hopefully see a few of you there.

Phil

We will be arriving mid-day Friday and leaving on Saturday afternoon as have another function to attend - Sunday shall be overseeing Lions Den's annual maintenance programme which is being undertake @ Endeavour Quay as usual.

Great yard and LD was expertly hauled out earlier today by Tim's guys and placed in it's cradle ready for my own team to commence work in a couple of days time - No contractors access fees apply here btw :encouragement:

Hope to see some off you whilst down in Swanwick.

Footnote - Endeavour Yacht Services went bust last week but apparently up and running under a different banner within a week :(

Mike [Hurricane] Please don't forget to bring some off those lovely chocolates from your village with you - The ones you bought last year for MatchII was truly scrummy :encouragement:
If you can only bring a few please drop them into Princess's office as will be nice to wash these down afterwards with the champers :D

Just heard back from Swanwick and pleased to say we will be in attendance. I shall only know a precise berth on the day. The show organisers will have to be in their toes to receive our lines and welcome us ;)

Seriously - really looking forward to it, last year was a great weekend. The only boat I can see which will definitely be in attendance is the new S72 from Princess. A stunning looking boat from the designer's images I can imagine it will be equally as attractive in the flesh. Camera dusted off and at the ready.

Not sure what else will be there. Sunseeker's website confirms their line up for the London boat show which took place 4 months ago and Fairline's website is telling me to get in touch if I'm going to be buying a boat. Hopefully they will accommodate forward planners who turn up on the day :)

Henry :)

Henry - I seem to recall the list of boats being exhibited is on the BMYS website - Look forward to seeing you guys on Saturday - Don't be late as I know you like your beauty sleep :D

Had a great meal in the lightship earlier today - Maria and her team are doing a excellent job - Talking off which, how is the next beer and natter coming along be good to know when is the actual date @ this venue so we can all put this in the diary - No pressure at least this will keep you busy at work tomorrow ha ha :encouragement:

Hi there Terry

Yes, I did find a list at the bottom of one of the pages.

I followed the links through to each of the manufacturers websites thinking that would enlighten me. Fairline seems to be throwing all it's efforts at the 48 foot market with no less than 3 variants together with a 50 GT to compliment the 48 GT. Princess don't seem to have their V48 there, a boat which I was very impressed with last year in terms of the way it used space. The owners cabin in particular was remarkable. Possibly not as well proportioned as the V52 which I still think is gorgeous. I can't see the P43 either which was a worthy sibling to the immensely popular P42.

All the 48 foot boats have IPS propulsion which may or may not be your cup of tea. The larger boats, and indeed the smaller 42-43 foot flybridges run standard shafts. Interesting to see Fairline putting so much faith in IPS for the UK market.

See you there.

Henry :)

Hi Henry,

Sunseeker are exhibiting the following craft - 80 & 68 Sport Yacht - Manhattan 55- San Remo 485 & finally a Portofino 40.

Fairline are possibly aiming mainly @ the uk market hence the 48 footers and will cater for the global market @ SIBS

The only P43 that is available to view is the one on the hard adj to Peter Harwards office which I looked at last week which can be viewed by prior appointment as it is not in the main concourse area - For me I would go for a late used P54 which offers more volume and is a beautiful boat imho oh and you will also have some change to fill her up with some diesel :encouragement:

Best

Terry :encouragement:

There was a new P43 for sale on the old Princess pontoons in Torquay a few days ago
They could move that one up.

I agree
The P54 has always been a favourite of mine
The lines and the layout
SWMBO doesn't like the galley on the accommodation deck though.
