Brambles bank cricket match

No, not today it's tomorrow 1st september. Would assume it to be tomorrow morning ? 06:45 is low water portsmouth and a height of 0.50m.

If you look on the island sailing club web site it might tell you more.

You could be right. The only reason i said that was looking at tide heights for the day.

LW portsmouth is at 0645 BST 0.5m and 1904 BST 0.71m (lower tide in morning by 0.19m)

Using Stansore point as a secondary port -10mins approx and -0.1 MLWS

there may be something on the island sailing club webpage

Definitely 7PM Wed 1/9 as adv by the Royal Southern who play the Island.

Regret we won't be there this year - work - boo hoo

That's what I was told but like you, I suspect, if I was going I'd plan to be there just before 6PM. That way you "shouldn't" miss it and will have time to nosey around if you want to anchor and dingy in. Last time we were near the bottom of the tide and beached the rib but left it a bit late leaving so got wet feet getting into it again - 1 bad planning mark!

So what is the situation with Spectating? Are you allowed onto the bank to watch or will the Admiral of the Island Sailing club tell me to clear off?

Unless the "Admiral" of the Island Sailing Club is Betty Windsor herself no one can tell you to get off the Brambles Bank. It is Crown property and no yacht club functionary has any juristiction over it at all. Take a hot dog stall with you, and a reggae band!

Would love to go and see it but getting there is the problem. Both boats I sail on and can use are out of the water at the moment. Anyone know any cheapish rib charter companies? Have my Powerboat 2.

Re: Who\'s allowed

Well of course I would like to say that only members of the Royal Southern and Island Clubs are allowed on it to keep rif-raff like you away but the truth is as MASH says Crown poroperty + free-for-all

Sorry We won't be there - enjoy!
