That's what I was told but like you, I suspect, if I was going I'd plan to be there just before 6PM. That way you "shouldn't" miss it and will have time to nosey around if you want to anchor and dingy in. Last time we were near the bottom of the tide and beached the rib but left it a bit late leaving so got wet feet getting into it again - 1 bad planning mark!
Unless the "Admiral" of the Island Sailing Club is Betty Windsor herself no one can tell you to get off the Brambles Bank. It is Crown property and no yacht club functionary has any juristiction over it at all. Take a hot dog stall with you, and a reggae band!
Would love to go and see it but getting there is the problem. Both boats I sail on and can use are out of the water at the moment. Anyone know any cheapish rib charter companies? Have my Powerboat 2.
Well of course I would like to say that only members of the Royal Southern and Island Clubs are allowed on it to keep rif-raff like you away but the truth is as MASH says Crown poroperty + free-for-all
