I wrote thanking BQYC for our Fitting Up, and received the following response - really welcoming, please ensure you visit when in the Bradwell vicinity.
For all you imbibers:
Real Ale is on tap
Wine by the bottle is reasonable club prices
Bar is well stocked, and the Steward is a really nice guy.
I must remember to give them a YBW burgee as I have a spare.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for your kind remarks.
As, what we like to call a “proper club” run by it’s members for it’s members, not a marina bar/club run on commercial lines, we like to visit other “proper clubs” when away from our Bradwell base and we hope that other like minded clubs will do the same. Having groups like yours visit not only helps with our funds, makes use our facilities when we are away sailing (thereby giving our Steward someone to talk to!) but hopefully it helps to promote this ethos of inter-club participation, very important I think you will agree in the current financial climate.
I’m really pleased that you all had a good time and hopefully we will meet again.
Regards, Roger Price, Hon. Sec. BQYC

Roger,
Thanks once again for the use of your terrific clubhouse for our Fitting Up supper last Saturday. All who attende4d really enjoyed it, and commented on the welcome and the venue as being one of the best on the East Coast (We have 2 per year at venues up and down from Thames to Southwold).
As you know, we are just the Practical Boat Owner/Yachting Monthly internet forum who meet ad hoc and it is a lively community full of knowledgeable people from all walks.
If you wish to promote your club or advertise events, this is the ideal place to do it!

One of our crowd, Lt Peter Broadley has asked for details so he can arrange a RNSA dinner with you, and I have given him your contact details.
Once again, many thanks.
