Hi, I have a bowthruster on my Dutch motor cruiser, the electric motor is fitted inside the tunnel, can anyone give me any info on who made them or how I might service it .
Boat was made in 1980.

It's usual for the motor to be outside of the tunnel. Vetus is a common make for Dutch built boats.

A picture of the motor or the joystick/controller would be needed to stand any chance of identifying it.

The photo shows the solenoid on top of the tunnel with the cables going into the tunnel, can't show inside the tunnel as boats in the water

But there isn't a picture.

A picture of a solenoid might not be the best way to identify a bow thruster. How about pictures of the controller/joystick ? Will probably have something on it, or the back of it, to identify it.

But there isn't a picture.

I suspect (but don't know) that as a new forum member either he can't post pics until he's had a few more posts, or perhaps more likely (especially as he has a sequence of message all numbered as his fourth) the photos are awaiting checking by a Mod before they appear.

There is no constraint on new members posting pics. The problem is usually not understanding how to do it

To post a photo the easiest wat is to click "Attach files" and ad a jpeg file. If it is too big, resize it using one of the resizing apps first.

Unless i'm missing something, i don't have an "Attach files" option. I use "Insert image", which is the icon to the left of the smiley options.

Trying to post images that are too big is the common fail, as you say.
