We rejected a Sealine S34 once because the plate was wrong, never mind missing (luckily we were only at the paid deposit for a specific boat). Trading Standards might come under consumer direct to, think you can go for 'fix the plate or full refund route' please. What ever you do, back everything up in writing and give them a clear date (seven days usually) to rectify the problem or you 'reject' the goods. Always better to start with the aim of getting it fixed.
