The anchour is kept and launched from the back of the cockpit .The owner likes fishing so it’s handy ,not sure of the type but I won’t change it if has worked so far.There is no cleat on the foredeck ,something that the zfrench seemed to have fore gotten as other Dufour 24 Dont have one either ?

Well done on the purchase and enjoy being afloat. Use the boat before making any modifications. You could save a lot of money !

A cleat in the middle of the foredeck, which is/was a common location, was a trip hazard. Just bring the rode over the bow, the space between the 2 toe rails and secure to the mast base. Toe rail ends can be sharp - take care.

Well not till Wednesday when we legally transfer the ownership and pay .It a second hand Dufour 24 with an outboard motor perfect for the rias and week ending.

Some titivating needs to be done but it sails ok .In theory we have a marina berth in Cangas .Dont have many pictures but Ther are a few on yuotube

No ,moralmente the deed is done ,the present owner is even letting me occupy his berth until after my cataract op and he is a true yachtsman in the English moulded so can not renegade on the deal
