If I lend my boat to a friend, who may or may not be a forum member, and something unpleasant happens - lke a collision or something, are they/the boat covered. All of this assumes I am nowhere near the scene and that they are fully competent.

It depends on your cover. Mine for example is insured fully comp for anyone driving with my permission and provided that i am on board, and am therefore accountable/liable - not the person driving.

[smirk] On that note, I just received my request for renewal of my policy.

193,88€, full comp for a 1971 31-footer.

I changed it , because I'm leaving the country for a while, so only lay-up is covered now, at 129€

Am I under the impression that UK prices are a bit more expensive? Must be all that unsafe boating that goes on over there.[/smirk]
