I have a number of exposed toggle switches in the cockpit fitted with rubber/plastic boots.
These have been surprisingly scucessful at combatting the elements.
As they are closely spaced, the nuts tend to collide with their neighbours.
I found some on ebay which seemed to solve the problem but they didn't fit the switches. Out of curiosity I gauged the thread of a swtch boss. The diameter was just shy of 12mm and the pitch 30 tpi.
Nowhere can I find a thread with 30 tpi.
15/32" UNS (I think) has 32 tpi and can be persuaded to be forced on and is good enough.
Anybody any offers?
