boom on a show 29

I am thinking of purchasing a Barberis show 29 which I was told the boom was extended to 3mt 90 as the new sail was bigger,.
will that effect the sailing and make the boat unstable, I have only seen pictures so far but the boom looks okay for lengh.expert advice needed

Doubt anybody here will have direct experience of this boat. The design mainsail area is 15.18 sqm. Any increase in this sail area might lead to greater weather helm. On the other hand the rig is very orientated to large foresail so an increase in main may actually improve balance. You really need to speak to the designer if you can or find a sailmaker with experience of making sails for this boat for advice.
