Is anyone interested in using a 40ft cruiser up to 2 wekends a month during the season for the cost of marina fees only?

Not capitol for vessel required only a refundable serurity deposit and Day skipper qualification.

Any thoughts on this topic would be helpful or if anyone has tried this and it did not work out Why Not?

Yes, I have had very positive experiences. See if you can find an experienced "partner" who used to own a boat. Then look inside his car (he will leave your boat in the same state).

Try also look at his garden - if that's a bit of a dump then there's a much better chance of him having spent lots of time doing some boatcleaning.
