We have put our boat up for sale and I have been looking at sites other than eBay for listing but there are loads of them which would start to get expensive if we did all of them.. So I am wondering if there is a site/service that allows you to pay a reasonable price and then publishes the advert to most of the main sites? I know there are these services for car sales so wondering if there is one for boats..

Not aware of one - normally a broker would do this for you.

I only ever bother with Boatshop24, BoatsAndOutboards & Apollo Duck free ads. Sold 7 boats this way over the last 10 years with no trouble.

What's wrong with an eBay classified ad? Inexpensive and gives probably the widest coverage.

When looking to buy a boat I no longer bother with boatsandoutboards as it's an awful site to navigate with too many scammers. My last 3 boats have all come from eBay classifieds.

I've always found Ebay to be a good platform for selling and have sold 2 boats this way (both sub 50k) even though they were also advertised on Boatshop24. You just have to learn to ignore all of the inquiries from abroad that start 'I wish to buying this item for my Daughter' !

Ebay Classified will get you the most coverage for your £15.00.
Add some text about not being interested in P/Xs with horses, caravans or plots of land in Nigeria and you are not a bank which gives loans !
Use all the photo space and give as much detail as possible in order to not to constantly answering all sorts of basic questions.
Have sold stuff on both BoatsandOutboards, site is very prone to scams and Apollo Duck.
Also worth a punt is our very own YBW boatsales site.Charge a paltry sum for some decent exposure.
My last boat sold via Ebay classified , buyer viewed on Sunday and boat taken away a few days later.
The Newsnow site seems to scoop most boats for sale on the web but not all.

With one of the boats I sold I took it to a well known boating area and listed it for sale with a well known broker.
And with the Boat Brokers knowledge advertised the boat on eBay and advised potential buyers where the boat was for viewing and they had to deal with the Broker if they wanted to buy.
It took three weeks to sell and the buyer was from the ebay advert who said to me that he never looked on Brokers adverts just on eBay.
(but it was only a 25ft speedboat)
