My boat is due to have its boat safety scheme inspection soon
Section on fuel pipes indicates that they should be BS EN ISO 7840
Or SAE J1527 DIN 4798
I need to change pipes on eberspacher and genny
Can only source SAE J30R 6 ( local Road Runner Motor spares ) seems all they suply for cars
? are these compatible with above or where can I obtain aforesaid ?

Lots on ebay - type in ISO 7840 into the search facility and lots of different sizes appear - or use your local chandlery or marine engineer.
From memory you also have to have metal leak-off pipes.

WE had a similar problem with the barge, even though it was quite new. BWW for some reason don't seem to accept European regs. Cant remember the details, but at some point the pipes that were metric from the engine had to be BSP, British standard Pipe. So we had to get a guy to make an a adaptor, Metric in and BSP out.

I am just coding a boat for passenger work on the sea.
Nipped into me local Industrial Estate.
A firm called 'Blackwell Hydraulics'
There must be similar all over the place.
Got the correct spec pipes and shut of valves etc etc for nowt, compared to 'marine' places.
Seems ISO 7840 does for various Industries!

Contact vitesse marine they have all the correct sizes in stock, and yes you will have to change the heating pipes to copper and use unions on the pump and on the inlet pipe to the heater, source unions from a good plumbers merchants, no plastic or rubber joints allowed that dont have iso spec on them.

I do a lot of inland boats to bss spec.

Out of interest what engines and boat is it.
