boat registry in France

MY boat had a few owners before me . prior to the first UK one the last one was a French speaking Swiss who registered the boat under the Swiss Flag but kept it in France for about 5 years .. I suspect that in the 10 years before him it was French

Knowing the name , the type of boat and the build date who can I contact get a listing to see if I was right ?

I may be wrong, but the only document that will help is the French registration/deregistration document. French registration is not a central activity but localso AFAIK there is not any searchable record by name/type/build date.

Expect the only documents of the boat's history is what came with the boat - so it is what it is, or rather what your documents say it is.
