I think if anyone is planning on travelling tomorrow Think about the pending storm
I was there today. Very quiet, due to weather no doubt.Anyone been today what do you think.
Well Pete I was very disappointed with the T50 , the flooring was very poor and the side door very poor , not a patch on the v40. But only one mans opinion.I was there today. Very quiet, due to weather no doubt.
A good effort for a first show. Would be good to see a few more boats from Princess and maybe one from Sunseeker.
Also a shame that there was only a single small Axopar there.

Princess are bringing three boats next year.I think there is a limit of 50ft (I forget where I heard that), so I guess Princess and Sunseeker would have fairly limited range that would physically fit.
My concern is we are still being very careful and looking at the show map and it all being inside to be honest we are nervous re covid as it looks like it might be a little packed. We would very much like to go but not sure we want to risk it. Still haven’t been to a pub inside or anything similar for 2 years but others may feel fine
I think it's fair to say that there are no Covid considerations / social distancing now so if @Bigplumbs is expecting any then it's best to avoid it this year.So why do you call yourself Bigplumbs ?
We’re going up on Sunday hoping to see and talk about Navigation, electronics and tech upgrades and insurers too. Probsbly have a look at the faux teak boys too. Are these types of exhibitors all there ?

PeteM didI suspect it was quiet because most sensible people did the responsible thing and did not travel.
If you're inferring that I'm not sensible, can I remind you, as far as I know, more people have been killed by dodgy Chinese heaters than were killed by the storms yesterday.I suspect it was quiet because most sensible people did the responsible thing and did not travel.

And as you are able to quantify the risk of these heaters, most of us are capable of reading a weather forecast and making an informed decision on whether it is safe to travel.
As for Covid, we're down to about a 125 deaths a day now. As I understand it, >90% of those people will be un-vaccinated. Of the 12 or so who were vacinnated, the vast majority will have had other serious (usually life limiting) health issues. The chances of a healthy vaccinated person currently dying of Covid really is tiny now. I think most sensible people understand this.
And if going to a boat show to meet some mates isn't essential travel then I don't know what is!
