If you're looking for shops close to the coast, you might try Henleys in Wivenhoe - Henleys Fish and Chips – Award winning fish and chip shops

Then if you get to Aldeburgh, the Aldeburgh chippy routinely has a queue outside - Aldeburgh Fish & Chips | Fresh fish from the East Coast

Both the fish and chip shops in Aldeburgh have long queues outside whenever they're open.

We've been to both and it's entirely beyond me why as they're distinctly mediocre at best serving soggy quickly cooked chips and heavily battered rather mean portions of fish.

The Magpie - Whitby.

I think it was Rick Stein who once described it as the best fish & chip shop in the world.
