Boat ID ?

Hi All

This rather nice looking boat is moored upstream of me in the Strood channel at West Mersea. Out of curiosity does anyone know what she is? Must be pretty shallow draft!

I think its an Island Packet of some description.

Possibly an IP, the bow certainly looks similar, though they're hardly shallow draft.
Is it fibreglass though? How about a steel Spray as another possibility? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

hmm thought she may be "Yankee built"! her names "Silent Annie" Boston, so could be Boston Mass?

It's a Spray designed by Bruce Roberts.

If she is Fibre Glass she might have been built on the Humber

She is a Spray, is owned by Tony & Sally Nelson, and was home built, or at least home fitted out, to a very high standard. She followed on from their Eventide.

Tony seems to be scarily practical - the detailing is very good indeed, right down to the (home) stained glass on an interior doorway. We were shown around her a few years back.

The Boston is Boston, Lincs.

I have pictures of her sailing, but only analogue ones. We were together in an Eventide Owners Association meeting in 2002, sailing past the Bench Head buoy to commemorate the centenary of Maurice Griffiths' birth. (MG's ashes were scattered there).
