boat for Naburn[new to boating]

Had a look at Naburn [York] .The marina apeals to me being in a quiet area,wife and 2 kids like the safe nature of being on a river and i like the idea of being able to get up to Ripon and [later on] out to Hull and up the Trent . What sort of boat is suitable for this marina, Birchwood 29[roomy with aft cabin but sea keeping a questionmark] or Princess 32/33 has anybody had expeience at Naburn ?
