Eebygum has found a real classic Contessa 26 has an excellent pedigree, she looks pretty good though you would have to spend a bit to get her up to the spec for the challenge

I am an engineer and am often in Plymouth, I would be glad to give her a once over if you are really interested (I am quite experienced in yacht refurb etc but I have no formal qualifications for yacht survey but I would do it for free so you have nothing to loose /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif )
However the other boat that is junk rigged looks fantastic

Chrusty1 has found a fantastic boat if it's still available I'd go for this one, I don't know how much you know about the Junk rig but it has a lot going for it, Blondie had this type of rig on the original Jester, you may be able to complete the challenge in your slippers Haha. You can reduce sail from the companionway if you can reach the lines. If you can, check out 'Voyaging on a small buget by Annie Hill' they built a Junk rigged Dory type yacht and circumnavigated it. This boat is much more 'livable' than your Coribee its just that little bit bigger. I've been following your posts since before you moved aboard and I allways thought "He's gonna need a bigger boat"
Just a thought as the boat has been prepared for the challenge if you approach the owner direct, or at least get the broker to introduce you, he may well be sympathetic if you tell him the jester challenge is what you want to do I know I would probably prefer my boat to go to someone who really wants to sail her.
