out yesterday and the BM1 started reading lower and lower volts , down to 7 volts !
checked batteries and both showed healthy 1280/90 after rest , engine starts fine winch runs fine everything seems to be running normally .
so I disconnected the inline BM1 fuse and stopped worrying ....
Is it a BM1 faulty or is there a gremlin at work in there somewhere ?

any ideas please ?

Did it give similar readings on both house and starter battery , or is it an old one that does not read the volts on the starter battery.

was it giving the expected current readings

Did you check all the connections. Esp the fuse as that has often proved to be iffy,
