Not very nice for the RTI was it! or was it? I dont know maybe raggies like it like this.

Managed a couple of photos when the rain hit. The fort was just a head of us but couldn't be seen, and Southsea was about 3 miles in the direction of the yacht. Spinnaker Tower was there a few minutes before then gone. Glad I decided to keep most of the covers up. Just the back open and my side, as one of the wipers is playing up.

wow shall we start a boat building business? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Nice video, at least both of your wipers are working, only the middle one works on mine, I refurbished the driver side one, but the adjust screw head gave out when I reinstalled it. It was such a pain getting it off and back on I need to build up the enthusiasm to take it off again and replace the screw.

Visibility really goes once the heavy rain starts, could only see about 300 yds at times.

Looks like my loss of power is dirty air filters, (well I hope so)

One blocked primary filter on mine stopped me planing, I think our boats are marginal on power so any slight restiction in fuel or air makes performance suffer.

Let me know if want to compare any bits. Did you fix the strainer leak?

Thanks Chris,

Might have a look at the strainer on Saturday....after I get covered in oil. Going to change the oil and filters. Somehow I can never do it without getting covered. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Not sure where you were during the RTI, we started at 06.30, okay to the Needles - sunbathing on the deck on a run from the Needles to Bembridge Ledge, and then had to do some work from there back round to Cowes, and we did have a bit of mis. weather then, but generally not too bad - back in by 16.05

unfortunately good wind seems to come with the rain - something to do with fronts, so at least we had a good sail, but not bad really! Came back tanned!

I am not up on when the RTI actually took place. (being a stinky)

It was about 13:00 when I took the photos. One minute it was nice the next it was rough, dark and very very wet.

Sounds like you had a great weekend though, well done!

First gun went off at 04.50, first class started at 05.00

the serious boats went round and were back in for lunch, the rest of us took lunch with us /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

where abouts were you? - I saw a number of motor boats out, have to say that considering that there were over 1700 raggies shouting starboard at anyone within 100 yards, the motor boats were terribly civilised and kept out of the way very well /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Bit Wet?
I was there Sun till Thurs.
Thought Wales was wet!
Left Cowes Thurs Morn.
Some daft Raggie nearly collided with the Red Funnel bod.
Funnel man had to give 5 blasts.
Raggie actually hit the Port Side quarter of said Funnel Man!
Well, kissed it I reckon.
Is this normal out there?
Reckon the R Funnel Man was spot on else the Raggies would be Prop fodder as We speak.
Nutter!
