Bill of sale

Advice needed - I bought my boat recently - cash - got all the documentation from the previous owner which clearly showed that it was his to sell but in my excitement I never thought about asking for a receipt to prove I paid him for the boat. I suppose that means that I can`t prove the boat is now mine.

I`ve asked for a reciept since buying the boat - but fear that the previous owner may never bother to provide one, afterall he now has my cash so why bother?

I have kept the PBO issue with the advert for the boat in, and my bankstatement showing the cash withdrawal, but is there anything else I can do - or if the previous owner proves unhelpful - does this mean I can never take my boat abroard?

Advice needed

Download and print the bill of sale from the MCGA website, complete the details of the boat and ask your seller to sign it. The boat is yours if you've paid for it. Why should he refuse?
