Bilge pump woes

Is there an automatic water level switch in the circuit? They're notoriously unreliable.

With the range set to ohms.

Using the lowest ohms range or the continuity buzzer ( which may be a incorporated into the lowest ohms range or be a separate " range" setting)

Be aware however that the continuity buzzer may operate up to a fairly significant resistance. 60 ohms for my meter.
