Beta 25 tanh light

I believe the tach on my BETA 25 is supposed to have a light for the dial and for the digital info below the light. I've been told the brightness can be set. My digital info is too dark to read and the dial can't be read at night. Other gauges do light. Anybody know about this -- especially how to make a light brighter if there its one,

These suffer from failing brightness until they go completely dark, well known.
It is possible to replace the display but its a tricky soldering job.
