I've been carrying out my own engine servicing over the last years but having installed a nice new Beta 16 I've decided to have the Beta dealer service it. Any ideas as to how much a standard service is likely to cost for this or similar size engine?

I had my BETA 13.5 serviced in the Portsmouth area last year. Cost £150 or very near, inc parts, labour and VAT. I will probably do it myself this year, but mainly because I have done very few hours since.

PM me for more details of who serviced it, as very happy to recommend if you are in the area.

Best wishes

i have a spare belt attatched to the engine ( Nanni 4150 ) as the prats who designed the marination system threaded the belt through the raw water cooling pump /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

either remove the pump or raw water intake to change belt /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've just serviced my Beta 25 and I used the oil filter & anode included in the spares kit. A gallon of oil £12.99 so you should get the bits for about £20 or less.
Takes about an hour, including warming the engine and changing the g/box oil.
I'll have to get another oil filter from Beta as my local auto distributor couldn't identify it.....
