Looks like 20 years of boat holidays on the Norfolk Broads from the age of 11 where my parents basically left it up to me to drive the worn out boat, navigate, work out bridge clearances and tides was not entirely a waste!
There's nothing like piloting a 44ft bathtub with next to no power through the Gt. Yarmouth bridges against a 5mph tide with a dozen other rental numpties going for the same 20ft gap and no chance of turning this side of the North Sea to focus the mind!
Had a go on a Sunseeker recently which actually had power, ability to steer, bowthruster etc, etc - too bloody easy!
But it's only got one engine! I steer using the throttles in a marina not the rudders. Anyway I feel like I've done enough crashing into things lately.

It may be the early bird that catches the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.
Mind you, there is an advantage. You can crash that thing all day long, without massive repare bill.../forums/images/icons/smile.gif. It's alot easier with a real boat than that thing......Err. I think...Not meant at a dig Kev.
