My mum always used to rely on tesco, cos of their tinned danish butter they used to do. We tend to use Threshers.....

Well Pauline, surely Fortnum and Mason would be more appropriate?! Also within easy reach for Jimi.

Kelly's, just behind the quay in Portsalon.
Its really a bar, but there are all sorts of interesting things behind the counter like processed peas and buttermilk as well as Guinness, and there's even buckets and stuff hanging from the ceiling.
And they don't mind you turning up for a pint in wet oilies.

There is nothing wrong with Super Avu just behind the main street in Barcelloneta!!! The wine is inexpensive and so is the gin. Mind you cans of proer tonic are a wee bit more than other cheaper brands - but what the hell as has been said before in these forums " There aint no pockets in a shroud "

Hi-Lo in Trinidad.

They stock Mathouks Baked Beans - the finest in the world. Just the right hint of curry and numerous other spices.

It is almost worth sailing back there just for....

Enough day-dreaming, back to work.

The Coop in Tobermory - but you have to find a skipper who'll let you get ashore

Tesco's, Its the only store around these parts that does not play
that mind numbing din that passes for music !.......

I can actually think about what we need, rather then try to escape as soon as possible.
must be my age !..

Depends where you are and which supermarket is walkable. Ramsgate it's Waitrose. Brighton it's Asda. Maldon it's Tesco. Cherbourg it's Mammoth. But you know all about where to get victualled in Cherbourg, surely?
