A few years ago me and her indoors drove down to Nerja via Bordeaux and Madrid onto Gib then back via Italy into Switzerland via St Bernard Pass over Millau Viaduct and home we did in ten days with the longest distance in one day approaching 900 miles.

The fantastic scenery and the contrast between the Sierra Nevada and the Alps etc will be remembered for a v longtime

In all we did 4500 miles over the ten days incl rest days.

The day after we got home put the old jag in for MOT and clear pass

Will def do it again ............. oneday

Steve, iirc, the Mex had the Kent engine, with the BDA in the RS branded Escorts? My era was the RS200 with the original Stig. Apols for the Fred Rift.

Jimmy Mac was a fantastic driver, and a real gent. He was in a 6R4 in my time. My favorite ever event was the Isle of Man TT in '86, Jimmy in the Metro, and Mark Lovell in the Ford, with us in the service teams screaming round the island in Sierra 4x4's. Happy days.
