It’s changed a lot ,new buildings on the dock side.I knew it when Sidand his brother ran it ,dry docking coasters and large yachts back in the time I worked there between 1973 and 1980…Fitted out my Mashford 4 tonner one summer and on several occasions the Vectis Isle the coaster I worked on was dry docked for repairs and surveys.One mini super yacht slipped its mooring without paying I recall.Sid sailed a beautiful wooden yacht ,a tough man but a kind heart.Niceto see ,a great surprise of a time I have almost forgotten…….Artic Road is in West Cowes above the Chainferry new to the National Sailing Centre……or it was!
