It would seem as If deck carrying is the best option.

Brilliant suggestion re cargo straps. I can use the deck strong points for attachment

I also strongly advise that you make up the X frames before leaving the UK, and plan how the whole thing will put together. Pain in the arse to find all the bits in Rouan.

That was the man who re-stepped ours in summer 2015.
As I recall, they can only operate the crane at low water +/-2 (and during office hours) as that is the only time the level is steady enough for long enough.

Apart from that, great service and a nice walk along the river to the action.

Yes, Rouen has got a good reputation, as does Navy Service and also Chantier Allemand at Agde (possibly better for western Med).
For mast transport, the long-established service from Wolfgang Graf was bought out in about 2015. New details (courtesy of 'paddywackcocker' of this parish) -
