Folks,
I really have to tell everybody about this amazing engineer.
Got my engine fixed, nice and smooth. I have never saw such a competent and customer responsive engineer before.
He's never cut corners. All he does is just fixing things the RIGHT way.

His name is Tony (from New Castle), liveaboard with Tracy on their 40' footer. Based in Cagliari right now.

Whoever pops up in Cagliari and has engine problems, I really suggest this guy. I am so happy now :D My engine has never been so healthy before. And besides, you could NEVER EVER find such professionality and care from any italian cowboy.

Well done Tony and thank you so much!

As we all know, good engineers are tough to find anywhere, not just the Med. It would be helpful to let us have contact details for Tony and any other recomendation.

Sure, mate.
I will ask him if I could maybe write his email address here.
Just a matter of few hours.
Keep in touch!

I can't speak too highly of Mick Turner based in Port Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia. An engineer of the highest grade ( which is I believe ..... A1 extra super double plus).

A brilliant engineer who can turn his hand to anything ---- bags of integrity too.

Excellent Mechanic - Corfu

I can completly recommend Keith Fisher of KF Marine, here in Corfu. His workshop is just outside the 'South' entrance to Gouvia Marina, and can be contacted on +30 6936 833 642.

He specialises in Engines & Gearboxes, but he also deals with Winches, Windlass', Electrical Motors, Filtration and can act as a reliable agent for a whole lot more items that need repairing.

Regards.

Good Engineer

Followed Cariadco's advice in May ref. Keith Fisher in Corfu. Very reliable and efficient. 'Spider' is his right-hand man with a formal diesel engine background - good bloke!

Brian Ahern of Tec Yachts Turkey (Marmaris) is as good as they come. Not cheap, but he is very busy, extremely competent and hard working. A complete all-rounder. Thoroughly recommended.

For engine and powertrain work Saban (pron. "Shaban") is Marti's diesel expert. He speaks Turkish plus fluent sign language and is very good indeed.

And one to avoid like the plague itself in the same area, Brummie "Slimy" Steve Davies who infests Marti Marina in particular, a tall skinny shifty expat trickster who talks convincingly but won't look you in the eye and knows next to nothing about boats, engineering or honesty but is expert on endless unfeasible excuses, bamboozlement, procrastination, gross overcharging (and grossly inaccurate accounting) endless botched work plus, did I mention it? yet more unfeasible excuses. Be warned!
Its Brits like him that give Turkey a bad name...
