Best 5hp outboard?

What 5hp outboard would you buy, which one is the best? I say Yamaha, am I wrong?

If you buy a Mariner it’s probably going to be a badged up Tohatsu, mine is!.

I would have said Yamaha, a 4,5 & 6hp would be the same weight (as they all are basically the same engine!) so you may consider a 6hp instead. I have one and its v good. But I bought mine a couple of years ago, now Honda have come out with a new range this year an its getting good reviews, slightly smaller displacement than the Yamaha, so I would probably have a close look at the Honda as well. Both Honda & Yamaha build 4/5/6 hp engines & all are 27kg..

don't think you would go far wrong with either Honda or Yamaha... I think a step above from Tohatsu's...
