The latch on the lifting cockpit hatch can leak, so can the rudder stock. Is it fresh or salt water?

Fresh water , and yes the hatch lock leaks slightly as explained , but next to nothing.

In my case, the majority of rain water ingress was trough two cockpit table bases..

Previous owner of mine had a similar problem, turned out the port deck drain through the transom had sprung a leak which he glassed over. One of my vent tubes in the engine compartment has dropped below horizontal and I also get water in after heavy rain and wind. Another small job for the winter.
