It was my favourite place while based in Chichester Harbour. Entrance can be exciting, seeing the buoys on the beach tightens the sphincter no end:) Some worthwhile pubs and decent beaches as well. I made up an extra long shore power lead with a splitter just to give more chance of electricity while moored in Bembridge!

as others have pointed out, you will have to go on teh visitors pontoon, and worth doing ..... once. Its good for parking up and going for walks but little else.

Limited access, busy narrow entrance, if you arrive on the flood you catch everybody who has been waiting for enough water to leave, dense rafting, crap showers, very small understocked shop, long walk round to the pub, ... erm ...

Re: Bembridge Marina / Beach

That's interesting that you get access to the showers if drying on the beach. Is it still £5 ? If so at least there's been no inflation in over 10 years. When I last dried (in November and only boat on the beach) Hbr M dressed up in uniform and came down specially to collect his £5 and ask if I'd had a party the night before! (I was on my own but there had been youths larking on the beach). At the tiime I vowed never to go there again.
