Hi all, before I start, sorry for my disjointed writing style.
I'm 25 years old and hoping to have a proper crack at sailing.
I basically have no experience of sailing (quite a lot of messing around in dinghies when young and a 3 day crossing from Poole to Alderney in a storm 2 years ago).
I'm very fit and active, main hobbies currently are caving and cave diving, with quite a few exploratory expeditions a year, but also have a keen interest in skiing and mountaineering.
I used to/kind of still, work in asbestos removal so I'm reasonably practical but I've recently started university studying philosophy, so can normally keep a conversation going.
I was hoping with the season start a few months away somebody may need a hand getting the boat back into the water/ready to go out and in return be willing to take me out for a day?
I can travel anywhere in the mainland UK and am more than willing to share any costs of a trip. Just to add, I've very little interest in racing, but I doubt any racers would be interested anyway!
