Beer & Natter Cymraeg

Cozzy & MayBH, Mark, the man from the marina, he say YES!

I've pm'd you both, please let me know if you are taking up their very generous offer. Let me have an email by pm & I will send you a map of where it is & how to get there thro the one way system.

Hi Steve, got your PM.

Yes, I think that we'd like to take him up on his fine offer, we've already booked a site for two nights, but maybe able to reduce it to one night (Friday), to be in the action on Saturday.

We'll have to check with May, as we don't want to leave her and D all on their lonesome, miles away, but 'wilding' in the berth holders car park sounds by far the best option for the B&N night itself.

Sadly, as we are very poor like church mice, if we have to pay for both nights at the campsite, this will leave no pennies for funding MH alcoholic rave ups. (Honest ;) )

I'll PM May and D, and see what they say.

Thanks for the superb organisation skillage Steve :encouragement:

You should be able to cancel a booking almost 2 weeks in advance, they are likely to be able to fill the places. Sorry, if I'd known about the Long stay car park issue I would have acted sooner. Mark's OK with you both doing 2 nights there. No facilities of course but you should be self-sufficient for a few days anyway.

The usual rule is to take your own . . .

I believe Big Wow has enough room to host the après-nosh party.

Just to point out the funbox on Bigwow is still recovering after Kwaka stayed aboard 12 months ago! Can only be compared to a plague of alcoholic locusts.:encouragement:

Marina facilities ?

Marina facilities ?

OK possibly showers & toilets, but no water or elecy near the car park & I suspect that a marine black water pump out will not be suitable for a Thetford cassette either. My assumption is that motorhomes, like mine, will be fine for a couple of days living off grid. Consequently, I did not ask for access to showers & loos, it seemed a bit cheeky when asking for free parking, but Cozzy & May can ask themselves if they need it. There may be a small extra charge.

Well the meal at RWYC will be a corker & Ainsworth Fish & Chips on the Bangor Road are excellent, but beware of the imitators! I only ever use my microwave when at the Annual Family gathering at Bala when we are on a camp site with a hook-up.

I only use ours for warming up my morning coffee when I let it go cold :D

Microwaves!!

You and Searush have microwaves on your Busses?:ambivalence:

We don't have a microwave in ours:(

Searush - thanks for arranging Marina access - it sounds brilliant and of course, we will be self sufficient.

We will do the same as Cozzykim - Friday night on the campsite and move to the Marina on Saturday morning

May
xx

Of course you don't Milady. Nobody expects the kitchen implements to be in the main house, they're always in the servants' quarters.

Love

Parker. :D

Right, that's us sorted then. :encouragement:

Is the RWYC on an upper floor of the building? We could leave a rooflight open in the van and fall out of the window of the RWYC straight into bed. :D

You would need to walk along the top of the Plantagenet Town walls, jump a couple of big gaps & climb over the roof of the old Dock Office first.

All the Viccy dock YBW Beer and Natter contingent are now checked in with Mark.

He is hoping to put us nearest the facilities and the club where we will be joined by the MH owners in the Berth Holders Car Park.

You will probably be asked to turn right on entry but everything will be made clear by Mark when you approach and call on CH80.

He fully understands that everything is weather dependent and lets hope we don't get a repeat of last weekend.

If you have any doubts get in the car but please call to let him know please!

I will also pm his dock e mail address as an out of hours back up.

Steve and Beverley
(We still hope to be there with Bluenote but are currently waiting to fit a new prop before leaving PD again!)

may it is very generous of u to offer the use of your toilet if you are closer than marina facilities but beware the welsh will expect you to flush for them .

Oh Dear

The marina have decided to crane out Bigwow on this Sundays big tide, I've been waiting for this slot for about seven months.
I'm still coming and have booked into the Travelodge for the Saturday night, but Bigwow isn't, sorry.
