There’s two guys inside , the lads just passing tools .We rigged up a sort of wooden scaffold to slide them about .
New ones are bigger @ 200 ah ...same external dims to fit back .The old ones must be over 5/6 are 185 ah .Talking 45/50 Kg s each .Theres a shop on the marina sells them .Been on there last legs all season .

Life raft , is a 10 pax , and it’s out of date .I,ll bin it next spring and buy a smaller one .
First owner has a nice hotel on Capri and this was his taxi boat so it was made by Amarti with water tight bulkheads .Extra cupboard + drawers + storage below .Last I heard he runs a XL 51 made by Amartis old crew on the Taber , XL marine , same moulds .Theses days they do a lot of refurbs .
The new ones ( Ferretti + Marco Casali ) are very nice , but there is a strong market for Amarti pre 2004 .A lot of guys are say buying a straight shaft 54 ( Ferretti 62 hull , but on V drives ) for very little and refurbing , bringing up to date .All this refurb stuff has taken off since I bought it .
Sales are tiny and they are made along side the more mass produced Pershing's @ Forli plant in the NE
looking @ 2/3 per year of the 75 , 62 , maybe a few more 45 s ? .
As I said XL marine occupies the old Taber factory in Roma .

Anyhow Twas 28 degrees yesterday when we arrived , no clouds to day .

My MAN s are pickling in rydlyme at the mo .
No particular reason , just fancy it ....never done it before .They run steady a 85/86 in the summer .
So I will dip temp the sea tomorrow .

problem is I only have one decent thermometre (from my late father) around 40cm long and alcohol filled (iirc) but it's at home. Only use thusfar is check thermostats open at 70whatnot, should remember and bring it to the boat next time and measure accurately sea temps!

triducer and fishfinder both have thermometre probes and are often 2C apart...

I use a proper swimming pool jobbie ....it’s got a little cup to hold water round the bulb .

Bruce relax,
If temp goes over the refreshing level of 16, what do you do, throw ice cubes in the sea or you don't swim?
Spent the last 1.5h swimming with swimbo, wouldn't do a single minute at under 20, Goodluck with your 16!

I cant get the kids out the water. We woke one morning to find this one bobbing about. A few stern words. Anyway, we look more dashing in our wetsuits. Instant tummy tuck and bun tightener.

he's excused, I have two sensors and they don't agree! I see the tridata data, and whenever I turn on the fishfinder, temps change as fishfinder's data seem to be "stronger" for the N2K bus...
