Beer and natter too be held in wales

I think a beer and natter, with a chance of grub at RWYC sounds great.......probably the only chance I'll ever get to have a look round!
Just need a date.......April probably better, before we get busy going off on cruising trips etc

If you're ever in Caernarfon, just go & buzz the door as a guest, I'd be surprised if they didn't let you in & show you around. It is a lovely old building. You are the only person so far to show an interest in the RWYC, but I will e-mail to see what sort of price might be possible for say 20 guests, we should be able to get that many if we set a date.

Right, you shower, we are now sorted. The Royal Welsh have agreed to host our little shindig. We have a tame chef who will sort out a basic menu choice in the New Year. The target price is 10-15 quid, enough for a decent meal without putting off more impecunious members like myself. The 25th of April has now been booked.

There is plenty of parking for people arriving by boat or car. If you can take the ground, the Slate Quay is right in the town & no fees have been collected in years. If you need 24/7 water plus hook-ups & all that marina nonsense then the Victoria Dock is only 100mtrs away. Overnight parking for the gypsies is available in the long stay car park between the Straits & Morrison's Supermarket (just beyond the Marina) - and I'm pretty sure that's free too. There is the Royal Celtic for those who want a Hotel & a Premier Inn by the marina for those happy to doss in a cupboard.

So put the 25th Apr in your diaries & get ready for a great weekend/ evening. Now Sea Rush is no way as big as Ellesar's tub, so is anyone willing to offer the services of their boat for after the club closes?

For those who want non-sailing interest there is Snowden, the Castle and the Welsh Highland Railway, each worth a day on their own and nearby there are the Neolithic Copper Mines & the Great Orme at Llandudno, not to mention Plas Newydd or Penrhyn Castle if you like Stately homes. We might even get some out on the water on Saturday if the tides suit.

We'll done Steve and Quackers, count me in and will see if the boss fancies coming along too :) will bring the Bowmore leftovers with me.

Steve,
I've not even looked at a 2015 diary yet but we'd like to join the fun. If we can make it by boat we'll take a berth in Victoria Dock. You'd be most welcome to enjoy a digestivo aboard (white flannels and club jacket, please, black tie optional). Otherwise we'll drive and find alternative accomodation.

Are you going to PD this Saturday? Hope to see you there.
