I’m having trouble finding that as a definite statement. Most outlets are reporting 15m doses have been administered. Do you have data that I’m missing?

This isn’t like a third world immunisation campaign, where 15m would be a couple of days work. Here people are invited in small groups and this all takes time.

Time is not on your side. Small groups staggered into 15m intervals is quite doable. I've seen it work well at out local quite well. Mr military man wont let you into the carpark if your appoint ment is more than 30 min away and nurse wont let you into building more than 15 minutes before. Considering I've sat in GP offices and never been seen before 45 minutes after my due time, this was a walk in and walk out breeze.

No they haven't.
It's been longer than that.
Vaccination started before Christmas but got off to a slow start as might be expected.
More than 90% of over 75s have had a vaccination now (according to the ITV news just now)
3 Million a week being vaccinated now.

I love all the people moaning about "lock-down" and the effort to vaccinate the entire country and how but-hurt they are not being able to go out to dinner or the pub. I love how they feel it is against their human rights being asked what to do lol. When you are being wheeled into an ambulance unable to move or breathe and watching your wife and kids crying because they think they will never see you again is quite a thing you know, kinda plays with your mind. Ask me how I know!!!! I'm 52. If everyone does their bit we will get over this quicker.

Not sure my wife (retired nurse and worlds worst patient) will ever want to go to an indoor restaurant or other public indoor space - certainly not before everyone has had two vaccinations plus whatever booster is needed next winter.


If covid kills the pub and other hospitality trade for as long as it takes and some never to return so be it .

The government has reached its target of offering at least first vaccinations to the four groups of people in England seen as most vulnerable to coronavirus by mid-February, it has announced.

It is, unsurprisingly the vast majority of those offered one of the vaccines have taken up the offer.

My interpretation is that all the priority groups have been offered the vaccine, and 15m have had their first dose. But obviously there are some who’ve been offered but not accepted.

Far from it. According to the SWMBO I have received a letter this morning from the NHS offering me the vaccine. According to the govt I'm now counted as having had the vaccine which is of course bollocks. I will book an appt for the vaccine in a few days time and take it but there are millions of idiots in this country who will be offered a vaccine but, unlike me, wont take up that offer but they will also be counted as having been offered a vaccine

As the old saying goes there are lies, lies and statistics. Just because somebody has been offered a vaccination doesnt mean they've had one

I had to lookup Howth, so it’s the one on the peninsula in Dublin bay? The thing I really noticed on the map is that there are a hell of a lot of golf courses in Dublin !
