hi lisa......just a suggestion....slip your moorings, LEAVE FENDERS IN SITTUE, potter up to mercury, they have MILES OF SPACE, inc double width fingers EMPTY!!, and just pratice pottering into THE MIDDLE, then get closer n closer....no ropes or fender to play with untill you return...and then just call the office and ask for a "rope catcher".....i wish i was downthere with you!!!!!
yup!!
theres loads of space at most marinas at the moment and i am sure they would be more than happy to take your lines!
i found just playing in the river understanding how the boat reacts to input helped a lot for me!

Swmbo has gone out "in charge" a few times as a ladies-on-boat day.
It was around Force 1 maybe Force 1.5 for the parking bit, but it can be done if you pick the right day.
Today would have needed gloves and a woolly hat, even with the roof up!
I wish my girlie mates were into boating but they're not but I will take the bull y the horns..........one day.
And Juls..I really hope so

Lisa, I was thinking about getting our Debs a voucher for a Powerboat Lvl 2 course as a gift... worth a thought for yourself if you haven't done the course yourself?
Lisa but why go on your own? in the club I belong to we have a boat buddies heading to ask for or offer to crew. As there are several lady boaters on here why not start a sub section/group (or whatever they call it here) to arrange for suitable crew? might work

I was never insured to go out on my own until I got a smaller boat, now its so nice to go out as and when I'm allowed
stuff the Powerboat Course, Gary. She needs City and Guilds Advanced Plumbing and Heating Engineering. Every beautician should have it.
