anyone planning to go to this years show. We have the day off tomorrow so will pop over (by car) and looking forward to seeing the Linssen 29.9AC on display.

Sorry, forgot you were there
We went up on Saturday evening and moored outside. Visited the beer tent that night and went to the show proper on Sunday. A really nice show with the feel of a large village fete to it. Very English. Our daughter and friend enjoyed the free canoeing, my wife managed to do some shopping and the beer did the job for me so we were all happy.
We were invited to raft alongside the Devon Belle overnight (through a friend of a friend) which the children thought was great. I have not been aboard before and did not realise it was one of the Dunkirk little ships. A real slice of history.

I was there on Sunday too, had a great time. The kids enjoyed the inflatable bubbles, I quite fancied a go too.

had a great time when we went on friday, although we got there later then we hoped and could only stay for about an hour and a half, as we had a later appointment that day.
Is a great venue for a show when the sun is shining, and there was quite a bit to see.
Actually came away from the show with some serious thought to buying a Linssen 29.9 - dangerous things, these boat shows.
Bit suprised / dissapointed that there aren't more thames brokerage companies exhibiting there. Seem to remember that there was a few when we went quite a few years ago, but none there now.

We saw a Linssen 29.9AC whilst returning from St Kats the other day, and I thought it was a nice modern equivalent to the old Broom 30 to be honest!
The slight lack of space and features (No inner helm, Less headroom, lack of side doors and tiny windows) are compensated by prettier looks and a nice looking pair of double berths.
The prices of used ones at c£150,000 make the Broom look like boot sale value however...
Nice boat nevertheless! Great size for Thames use...
