All last week we were promised a poor holiday and what did we get? Here in central southern England it was just perfect, sun out most of the time, tinyest hint of rain tonight, but if I'd paid any attention at all I'd have cancelled all my plans.

you should do what I do which is surf through numerous sites untill you find a forecast which suits you and go for it. If nothing looks good, then that is a fair tip that you would be safer in the bar.

I keep that good forecast to show SWMBO, when it all goes wrong to "prove" it was not my fault, but then I look at several other sites and try to sort out an averaged weather for the period. Was just about impossible for this bank holiday as I looked at 5 different sites and it was impossible to sort out a consensus of views, so we just went out and enjoyed the weekend+
