it hungarian..sorry dont have an english translation, but it was a match 42, the company in Hungary that owned twenty of them apparently checked out the keel bolt-on arrangement on all 20 boats and found the same thing..anyway thats what a hungarian translator told me on the boatdesign.net forum.

This is absolutely shocking, to think this is the same on the Hungarian companies 20 Match 42 yachts!
I was asking the Bav rep about just this type of thing at SIBS... "It'll never happen" he said "the one time it did happen was because they ran aground so it was their fault".
In my opinion it's the lamainate that's at fault.It appears that the fiberglass connecting the bottom to the structural grid is not thick enough and the radious too tight.Maybe the laminate at the bottom area was also too thin.The plate washers seem to be adequately sized.IMHO of course.
