My boat is a 2017 Bavaria cruiser 34 and has this shore power inlet, earlier I connected up the shore power but noticed the 230v fuse board wasn’t live. I removed the shore power lead and noticed that the two thinner pins on the boat inlet had pushed in, I manually pulled them out and got it working but question is if this is normal for the pins to push back into the boat or does it need replaced?

You could change to a twist socket as opposed to prong variety . Many don’t like the twist in connector though on boat. You can easily replace the socket on the boat though on basis you can access the rear of socket by detaching from gel coat .

Thanks all, looks like I will have to change this out, not stuck on this particular type if I can use a cheaper plastic socket, the other end on the lead is the yellow mastervolt plug which pushes in then screws tight

You want a wall mounted plug (male) on the boat and a socket (female) on the boat end of the shore power lead, as in your photo.

Ceeform is easy to find, used all over the world and easy to find shore power leads with it on.
